HARDWARE

Most requests are for the Victor/JVC HD-9300 and HD-9500 models, which offer built-in 3D playback capability. The 9500's extra features are karaoke functions. Both the 9300 and 9500 are worth $500 if in great shape. Shipping costs about $200 express tracked insured.

All 3D titles are thouroughly checked for skips and noise, and priced according to the results. For obvious reasons, a disc perfectly playing is both much more desirable and harder to find than a slightly skipping or noisy disc, which justifies a large price spread between the two. If ever you get competitive pricing from other sources, please remember that you cannot really compare the prices unless you know the playback quality is similar. Due to the very nature of VHD, some discs end up being absolutely not playable at all, and nothing can tell so from the looks of the packaging.
